Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

chubby dash is a lidded tray that replaces the open tray at the top of the dash.

belated post but i got my red bonnet pinstripes done on monday and it looks awesome, oh and only cost me $30 from a mobile company called AutoArt.....will post up pics for that soon.
i am currently waiting for my OEM Sharan Antenna to come through in the mail so hopefully it is at home when i get there...
while i have bills to pay off i just pump small amounts into the car on aesthetics....works well for me.!

I'm glad I bought it still under warranty!
* Rattle in rear right hand side
- needs new sway bar link - on order
* Drivers seat belt height adjuster jammed
- adjuster lug out of alignment - fixed
* Steering column adjuster jammed
- jammed column clamp - lubricated and fixed
* Rear fog light not working
- magically works now (WTF?)
* Hatch keylock not working
- sticky mechanism - lubricated and fixed
* Cruise control lamp not working
- signal fault found in dash module - new dash on orderI hope they don't replace the dash just to find out it wasn't a feature in this model anyway. Maybe they'll put a MFD in ... I wish
* Cup holder spring broken
- forgot to tell them about it
While they were at it, they found a problem with a wiring loom that causes the oil lamp to flash sometimes when the engine starts. I thought it was just building up oil pressure at startup. New harness on order.
Engine bay has been steam cleaned, and it all looks shiny and new now!
Got a quote to get the paintwork professionally buffed. The guy I was referred to reckons he can get 95% of the scratches out.MY08 Jetta TDI, DSG, Platinum Grey, Anthracite Leather, Foglights
