changed the H7 low beam bulbs as they both went out within a week of each other. Put the narva Intense ones in. They should fire the F&$ker engineer who designed the stuff around right hand side rear of the headlight assembly. What a F&%ken bitch to get the bulb in...
I hear you mate fitted ultra white Phillips Extremes a while ago and it was a b!aaatch to put in. Right hand stressed me so much I had to do the left the next night

Thanks mate, do you know if that includes fluids, spare, jack etc?
Ok this is a cut and paste from the actual Australian Polo brochure

I think roughly 1200kg is the right figure given the weight of yours and mine. Mine didn't have the spare tyre and tools, but subwoofer and tow bar, etc.
Specific weight of petrol is 0.72kg/L (not .92 that I mentioned) and I'd done 100km, so assume 9l usage, let's call it 36l in the tank remaining, so 26kgs of fuel. So fuel isn't a big contributor to weight.
The 110kg difference between ours is huge, ~10% of the vehicle weight, though the F/R weight distribution raises curiousity around the handling traits.

Thanks mate. Do you think the 1190kg's quoted in the Aust, VW brochure includes spare, jack etc? They call it TARE weight which means unladen from what I've read.
interestingly the 66% ish over the front could be area of attention for those seeking more grip.
even a 2 or 3% increase over the front vs rear would be a big booster to traction in a straight line.

I'd say yes. My rego details suggest it's 1060 or something like that, certainly under 1100kg. So that must be dry weight.

It's the cornering and braking behaviour that I'm curious about. I'm not sure the level of influence this distribution would have on acceleration; obviously lightness, squat, etc, though in terms of lap times, I think it'd be neglible. i.e. Good/bad handling characteristics would outweigh the marginal improvement to get power to the ground. Open to opinions/experience.

I just fitted a milltek non-resonated catback last night (I thought it would be more ricey - pretty tame but still nice!),
I had to cut the stock exhaust to get it out though - anyone else have this problem?
