Had a busy day getting the car ready for timeattack / sprints at Lakeside this coming weekend.

And made a DIY style headrest mount for the gopro:
Now to do just the usual pre-flight checks before I hit up lakeside.

Keen to hear how you go out there mate.
I tried the headrest setup with another micro cam and it was a bit too dark or too far away to get any details from teh dash so i just with teh windscreen suction cup.

I'm going to run it in protune to increase the exposure latitude and at 30fps. Than can make adjustments on it is post production. Unfortunately I won't have time to try it before the weekend as I'm away for work till late Friday
Gav, it's Saturday morning, I think on track at 9am, finishing 12.30. I'm expecting some nice cars and competent drivers. I'm hoping for lap times of sub 68sec, tho may be a little ambitious. By comparison I did 68.1sec in ant's car in "another event". I think his car is a 66 contender with a committed lap n a tweak to suspension. Tho I'm on semi slicks, my car would otherwise be more like an ambitious 70sec.

finally got around to having my custom code tune added to my insurance and was surprised to see that it didn't affect the excess at all and only cost an additional $26 to my premium. I inquired about possible future mods too - Suspension ($23) and exhaust ($44) added to the premium in the same way.
