Shame about the calipers having different mounts...
I think we need to knock heads about a functional flat underbody and diffuser.. that's high up on my list at the moment as the rear lift is pretty much stopping me from keeping the power on on the straights.
Thanks Sam!! That's some next level stuff in the picture. I'm starting at the front end with a large sheet of carbon fiber and making a splitter that will go as far back as the front Ultra Racing brace and will replace the OEM plastic covers that sit under the engine now. Then I was thinking of aluminum sheeting as you mentioned also for the mid section. Then the rear is more tricky. We need some hoist time mate to start planning

Yeah Jase, thought about those but didn't for a couple of reasons. Those reasons being I hate ECS as a company for many reasons and one of those is how they blatantly over charge with shipping to OZ. And that's on top of their huge cost for the rotors and if something went wrong with them there would be a snow balls chance in hell of them coming to the party. End rant

Cheers Clay Yeah I see why Troy had to go bigger on the rears now.
I'm actually leaning towards Velo for all the race gear. Their seats and harnesses are ADR approved which is very rare.

Cheers Troy Yes it's a very fun project, and regardless of the final outcome the journey will be a memorable one. It's always good to have goals as you would know mate.

No LSD yet bud, and to be honest with my current power levels with the suspension and tyre set up I probably would never need one. So much grip in all situations I'm happy to say. However..... Gav and I have a pretty high power goal we're shooting for so I'm sure a Wavetrac is most certainly a must. (so a TBD to be more accurate) I know a proper LSD is preferred by the serious track goer like Guy and Eddy but the Devil will remain my daily when all this WTAC stuff is done and dusted. Can't wait for Redliner's review actually

Recaros are ECE approved, which is a recognised standard in AUS.

Surely fine print like this is the least of your problems, one you've removed the side airbags to fit them????

                        • Thanks for the heads up Stuwey. I was going to get everything engineer certified and plated when the half cage and seats go in and get it changed officially to a 3 seater, so was hoping this would cover the airbag delete?? Any advise on all that would be appreciated Stuwey!

                          • Local law dependant, although as far as I'm aware it's flat-out illegal to remove an airbag, or more specifically, lower the safety standard of a vehicle.

You're screwed either way, at least the Recaro's will be comfortable.

                            • I see. The only class requirement is the driver has a 4 point harness with seats and roll cage optional but recommended. Obviously the standard seats would not work with a harness (or can they??) so are there any factory Recaro's that would fit that have air bags and provision for a harness?
