aaaaah, that sounds beter haha. not going to take the holder, as that would mean i would need to but 3 gauges and install 3, and to boot, i would need to buy a new radio/cd.... rather i will get a boost gauge only, however it still looks awesome -- great car !!!
So did your car feel much better on the track, more consistent/stable front end? Will have to try stick together at the next tack day (I hope).
I've also got grand turismo 5 and a racing simulator at home if you want to come round for some head to head racing. Its great for working on racing lines and bloody good fun regardless

insanekiwi - thanks man! Sure can on the Koni's too. I will PM you
Thanks Jason, spot on mate.
clict - thanks mate and good call on the gauges, it's quite a bit of work for sure.
Sean - Mate totally different. Pretty sure the busted front strut and driveshaft mixed with some inexperience was my failing last time This time had a ball without crapping myself lol. Love the coilovers and can't say enough about changing my front sway bar to the medium setting. So much more traction off the mark as well as higher speed cornering on the track!! Seriously too much fun.
There is also alot to be said about knowing the track too. All my lines, gear selections and braking seemed to come together straight away. Or should I say your lines
Yeah would love to have a crack at some Turismo!
Anyway some very bad shots to show the drop with the coilies. If it doesn't settle a little lower soon I will drop it some more

Thats a different joint too though, the polo Gti joint has the threaded piece external as shown and the Audi one there is from way back with the internal threads, i agree a much better attachment. The threaded nut on the Polo is a shocker with a external pin threaded on the joint especially as you go up on the torque as this little animal is. I have in the past mentioned the joints and shafts are weak links when the power and torque gets raised but its only sense that eventually the gearbox is the weak link. This has got to be factored in when the mods get larger and the power and torque gets bigger but im sure most know that, im summarising really guys, as you would be surprised, you only have to read about " how much torque will my DSG stand??? Manuals are rated too naturally.
Cheers

Well exhaust is in! Had to get a small section of 2.25" pipe cut off just after the cat on the custom DP and a piece of 2.5" welded on so there is no restrictions now. Then the adaptor that came with the catback worked a treat.
First impressions. Well being the resonated option at first I couldn't hear any difference in noise levels at all over the usual deep burble I got from the DP. But now after some driving it's burning in well and can now hear an even deeper note when on it but still very quiet as far as complete exhaust systems go. There is a touch more throttle respose maybe but the best thing is how the car looks from the back now. With the larger twin tips, the colour coded rear apron and the wider tires with slight camber the little polo looks a lot meaner!
Great for daily driving, very comfortable over crap roads but I did have my Koni's set fairly hard in the end.
I still think you should give a front sway on medium setting a go mate. From what you and kaanage mentioned in the other suspension thread about getting the power down coming out of high speed corners and under steer I truly believe it's the solution.
And just to confirm I adjusted my front sway after the coilovers were put in so I have a fair comparison. I had no under steer with it set on soft but had the same traction issues pushing out of corners. So the setting change fixed it well. Never had so much fun in fwd car as i'm having now!
