Acually I did this to mine the other day and I love it but I think it is VERY engine dependent on the sound / loudness.
Mine been a 1.2T it's still very loud when the turbo is in use but at idle / coasting its quiet as stock. To me it's a good compromise, but it does mean that when you cruise up hills and the turbo is going there is a lot of drone.
The DSG fart is wicked though, can hear it a mile away XD
Also if you check the rest of this thread there is a YouTube video of the "BILT" Polo in which has this modification done.

Jake, after you left LeMans the other night, Eddie and I were in awe about the sound of your car.. it sounds wicked now with the rear muffler delete. Not tinny at all compared to when you had the mid done.
Lol I think it sounds better than a GTI that has just the mid muffler delete

Just did this to my trendline, and i cant really tell if i like it not yet hahaha. Its pretty loud esp in lower gears so i will see how i go and if i hate it ill probably just put a small muffler in. But the DSG farts are nice!!
I think what im worried about is if its too ricy

This is why I didn't do it... I'd like to sound beefier but not at the risk of being too ricy

its not that ricy, just sometimes under load i can be a little annoying however the dsg farts are amazing and the idle is very nice, a bloke in a mk6 gti asked what exhaust i had a the lights just before (finaly I'm being noticed).
Im starting to like it a little more, definitely a good mod for TSI's and Trendlines

The reason it will sound rice is because you don't have a turbo to knock out the first, annoying noise of the exhaust. On a 77tsi or GTI it will sound much different due to the turbo, which is why I am sure nomad and Marcus Aurelius have a more stock sounding car under normal conditions. Turbos are great mufflers
