          God damn Marcus, FK!!!!

bigfoot, I'll be trying with a smaller rear muffler/hotdog on a GTI. Very interested to see if you can replicate the same great sound without the drone...

What are the regulations with mufflers? Ive been reading that you must keep the same number of mufflers that came stock on the car? or is that just rubbish??

never heard that one before - that would pretty much kill the whole aftermarket exhaust market

as long as you have a functioning cat converter and are below the 90db limit or 96db for pre 1983 (NSW) you should be right. I believe motorbikes are allowed to be a bit louder.

Did this on the weekend. It's heaps good mod not too loud from the outside nice deep tone. Much louder from inside of the car but alright when windows are closed. The video really isn't a true representation

I'm taking the Polo in to have a quote on a rear Muffler delete, what should I expect? So I know if I'm being ripped off or not.

I was quoted about 100$ for the job. this included pipe (51mm mild steel) from the straight just after the resonator to the back (and I tell you there are A LOT of bends) and the welding of metal brackets onto the pipe. Could cost a bit more for you as I allready have an exhaust clamp, which you may need to get.

to be precise, I have had the rear muffler cut before it and a straight 51mm stainless steel pipe welded in its exact place. no bends replaced. set be back 110. and the stainless would give you a much different note

I was actually considering just getting a muffler put in which would enhance the engine note (growly) without creating too much noise. Not sure on it though.

This is what I am thinking

What are thoughts and does anyone know of a video so i can hear it before buying it!?
