This is the answer that VW International gave me about my concernings on my 1.4 TSI expressed on FB.
I suggest everybody who have oil consumption problem to write at the email adress below, we are doing the same in Italy...
Hello Max, in this case we recommend to get in touch with Volkswagen headquarter's customer service via kundenbetreuung@volkswagen.de by stating your name and details as well as your vehicle identification number and your request. The customer service department is where all issues are collected and solved. We wish you all the best.
Here the first result from another user: Wolfsburg
I also received a quick answer by email after my segnalation.
They will probably adress the issue to your local customer service, but the ticket will be opened directly by the headquarter: this is something more than nothing...Last edited by kawabanga; 17-03-2012, 03:18 AM.

I didn't read all 531 posts but, your information is one of the best in this thread. I recommend to everyone who has the higher than normal oil usage or whos Polo after 15,000km continues to use more oil than normal (normal by me is about 1L-2L /15,000km) to use that contact in the post above.Performance Tunes from $850Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

I now have just over 21,000km on my odometer and since first service at 15,000km have had the oil light appear twice.
(Once at 18,000 and just now at 21,000). Can't remember how many before the service, I think 3-4 times.
The more that I persist with the service depts something is wrong they just keep telling me that this is normal consumption.
I asked for a oil consumption test (Barlow) and was advised that I need to pay for this (are they serious?).
Does anyone have a contact at either Barlow or Burwin who actually know's there is a problem and would rather solve the issue then talk crap?
Any advice much appreciated.2011 Polo GTI: 3 door, Flash Red, bluetooth, sensors and tinted windows.

They are probably trying to avoid the warranty work which they know will happen after the oil test... I would just tell them that you have to top up at every fuel so you don't know how much it is using but it is definitely over the figure quoted in the manual. I went to Barloworld (glen waverly) and there was no mention of paying for it but my oil usage was a lot more excessive than yours (not saying yours isn't high though!).
