If it's not showing as having a record when you enter it into the cargo field, your dealer is (surprise surprise) lying to you and it's not on the water. YOur tracking record will generally show up within the first day of it being scanned onto the boat, sorry dude but you're dealer is riding you

Is that for the GTI only?

I rang up John Hughes a month ago and they said the wait on the TSI is 5 months, then I headed over to DVG Melville and they managed to organise a flash red 77tsi for me with an ETA of early September! Im beginning to feel super lucky for scooping up 1, cant believe 26 months jeeeeeez

Yes, GTI. I believe the wait on Golf R is about the same (2yrs~)

To give you an idea, the ship my car was loaded on departed from South Africa on 31 May and it arrived in Melbourne Ports on 17 June (with a stopover in Freo). Car was ready for pick up from the dealership on 5 July.

Others have had to wait longer once their car was offloaded, whilst others sooner. Hope yours is one of the sooners

My ship just left Durban two days ago and is due on the 20th August, so there may be still hope, since yours in made in South Africa. When it was loaded in Germany it showed up within a day.

Mind you if it arrives in Melbourne on the 5th, then it definitely is not on the water, as it only takes about 18 days from South Africa to Melbourne, accordingto the schedules

My dealer called today to tell me that my GTI has arrived! Only 4 days from unloading from the ship to arrival at the dealership is pretty good - especially given it had to go from Wollongong to Canberra. I should be able to pick it up on Thursday

Dealer confirmed the car is in fact on the docks and due to be delivered to the dealership any day now
I'm stupid excited!

Thanks for that apples, at least it gives me an idea! The wait isnt bothering me too much, I think its more trying to figure out when to put my current car up for sale! I Can't be car-less it would kill me!! lol

I just found out that my car is now in the indian ocean on the BESS BESS - Vessel's Details and Current Position - 9531715 - 372995000 - arriving in Melbourne on the 17th.

Any idea from you guys how long it will take till they get it ready for delivery in Adelaide?

Mine is on Bess also. Should be popping up on the tracker in a few days as it gets to Fremantle.

My dealer told me today it could be up to three weeks from dock to delivery, dependant on customs and Patricks, including 2 days at the dealer to get it ready for delivery. He said he always quotes worse case, and if it gets done quicker, then it is a bonus.

Hopefully it wont be that long, and may be a bit like CBR's 4 days!

after missing the boat leaving durban on the marine traffic website, i just checked that the boat is about to dock in fremantle in approximately 2 hours. i've checked this website everyday for the past two weeks and now i can actually see the boat. yes i am that excited to see an arrow move an inch closer to australia. haha.
