You need to get canbus error free bulbs, they have a resistor in them that stops this error popping up.

Well finally got my VWR springs and HF carbon CAI - thanks to the guys at peninsula autohaus for doing the work!

First impressions on the springs. Slightly better ride than the car when it is in sports mode with the standard springs on a flat road, but dip bumps you notice it similarly to in sports mode. With the springs in sports node it is noticeably more firm, but not overly back breaking. Car sits noticeably flatter through corners than before. Less 'dipping' onto the outside wheel as you turn into a corner. Is good fun!



CAI I'm loving! The lag below 1700rpm (keeping in mind I have an APR tune) has completely gone. Much meatier mid range and throttle response has greatly improved. With the APR tune car makes 188kw/390nm according to HF website, the CAI increases the wheel kw by 13kw and 20nm. So the car would be making ~ 200kw+ at the fly and ~410nm+

opening the panoramic roof especially, but also windows, and there's a great sounding spoooool and Absolutely love it. Not as noticable within the car, listening closely with not a lot of traffic around you can slightly hear it, but it's good for when you're just cruising.

Maybe we can catch up and talk cars at the next Melbourne chat/cruz meet if there is one soon. I have the harding eco and DSG tune and its great. We are always looking for more grunt and better handling.

I've used these since I purchased the car, never been an issue and are much brighter/nicer looking than the stock bulbs.

With some cheap plastic trim tools (which I also purchased from ebay) it was very straight forward.

PM'd you about the ride, but similar to what I wrote above. Ride is harsher, but firmer would be a more appropriate word as it's no way near unbearable or 'harsh'. I love the APR tune - even more so with this intake. I think the APR is about 8kw more (not sure about torque) little bit of lag till about 1700 then it's absolutely fantastic. Just have to have traction control off and feather the throttle. Jamming on the accelerator will just have it boost and spin.

led install

I installed the JW speaker LED headlights today into the 2016 polo gti without the factory LED's......Was fairly simple all you need is the retainer clip which you can purchase from ebay, i had to modify the centre of the clip to make it bigger to fit the led through or you can order the clip from blingworks www.blingworkauto.com.au/ these guys have manufactured there own clip which works...

Fairly simple to do just requires a slit in the dust boot to run the cable and ballast through an a place to mount it

You do not need the Canbus Kit for this car, i have had no issues with dash warnings

Yeah I'm fine, bumped my head a little but otherwise it didn't feel as bad an impact as it was. Im glad I was in a VW, could of been worse for me.
