No that issue only affects cars before 2009 with the old can bus module installed. I swapped my RCD310 to a RCD510 and have no problems and I have a my11 polo comfortline.

cool, good to hear! on my old car i wired the amp wrong once, so it was constantly on, was wondering why the battery kept draining after a few days

dont think theres launch control even with the hpa tune. please correct me if i am wrong though but my understanding is that dsg in our polo's cant handle it cause its a dry setup not wet....unless youre willing to destroy your gearbox by rev'ing in neutral and slamming into drive.

Well, with the dsg tune, it gives you launch control. But you're saying our gearbox is dry not wet soo in time it will destroy it.? I know there is one guy who has installed it on his Polo GTI 6r but i cant get in touch with him on the forum. So yeah .....
(by rev'ing in neutral and slamming into drive. )
I wouldnt do that with my gearbox im not that stupid.

Just fixed up some damage to my new wheels, which are soon to be on my car. Used selleys Knead it metal putty and alot of sand paper and im very happy with the outcome. Needs a little bit more 600 grit sand paper to make it all super smooth but considering i got quoted 340$ to get it professionally done and i did it for about 30$ id say thats a win

Well if I decided for some reason to put my Polo into 1st, floor the throttle and then dump the clutch every time I took off from the lights, I'm not sure how well my clutch/gearbox would be. No offence but I don't think it takes a genius to work that one out.

Look, I understand what you're saying it's not good for the car in a long period of time. I'm not going to do this all the time. it just comes with the tune.
But let me make you understand a (Polo GTi 6r) dsg gearbox at a set of lights and you tell me if you wont get annoyed. You are in S mode and waiting till the light goes green... you see it go green ... you hit throttle ... for that 2-3 seconds after you hit throttle your car feels like it needs to tell everything to go. but that 2-3 seconds is critical.
I wanted to know if anyone else had this install or know something that i dont. (My Polo is my pride and joy), This upgrade which i have done a lot of research. It doesn't just give you launch control it provides better shift response, Increased redline, and changes the D/S mode gearing if you haven't noticed when you are driving the gears chage to 7th gear quite quickly so the gearing is longer so ur on boost quicker. Also your torque limit increased to 500Nm.
So its something that is better for our cars (I think) if you are planning to modify you car.
This is just what i know of the DSG tune and wanted to see if anyone else could add there 2 cents.
Thanks.

Finally got the DNA tune on my 77TSI. Haven't had a chance to give it much of a squirt but first impression is that the power delivery is very smooth. Looking forward to see how it goes on my favourite mountain twisty bits this weekend. Thanks to John Lu for his usual first class customer service and perseverance.
Done a lot of research? Torque limit is raised to 350nm. Not 500nm that's 6 speed wet clutch figures.
Yeah I made a mistake sorry you're right (lunchbox). After the tune I will have 360nm I spoke to the guy who is doing for me. The car will be finish and ready for the 20th

360nm torque!...lots of luck with the DSG gearbox. Keep us posted on how it performs.
