just take the arch liner out, it's what i did. also removed everything that helps hold the spring in place (not sure about the FK but on the kw v1 i removed the adjuster from the bottom and the rubber "holder/locator thing" at the top), and then cut bumpstops in half.... see my last pic in the ride hight thread. rear tucks

added this fella to my tsi. Have wanted a gti wheel for soo long. Picked it up crazy cheap to. A massive beeaatch to get the old wheel off but oh well. Love it. DNA tune on its way next week !

As for the wheel. It was from a guy parting out his Adidas gti on gumtree. Got it for $100. Can't believe it. Have literally been looking for a wheel since I had my mk5 which is 2 years ago. Cheapest I've found in that time was about $350. Stoked.

Looks and feels so good.

And the monster button adds 50kw obviously.

keeping in mind, i have also removed the under engine tray so it doesn't sit 50mm off the ground (though still not quite the legal 100mm. i think lowers is around 85-90mm), and i believe removing the arch linings may also be defectable.

Was in fairy land while parking today and lightly bumped into a brick wall in front of me. Has messed the paint up on my front bumper. Chips, scratches, and the paint near the top has creased. Any ideas what I can do? Can it be sanded out and repainted?

Has it gouged the plastic at all? That's what those small touch-up guys don't like. Scratches and chips are readily repaired, but anything that needs a bit of filling and shaping is more work (although not that difficult).

installed the v.6 maps in my new rns-510, now i can actually use the maps/nav instead of it telling me I'm in Lisbon... haven't had a chance to fully test it out but all seems to work fine.

You should be able to get a mobile-repairer to fix that. I've heard 'Touch Up Guys' do good work. Most of those mobile-repairers aren't expensive, either.

I did the exact same thing to my bumper a while ago! I still haven't gotten it fixed as you can't really see it because my car is white. Happened to me during a 3-point turn when the DSG rolled in-between D and R and scraped a gutter.

Did you recently fit the correction kit for your rear wheels? You posted something in the "Visual appreciation thread" but you didn't really elaborate.

Anyway I would be interested to know.

Also booked my car in for the 60k service and the 35c1 recall. Just after I booked it I received my letter in the post from Volkswagen telling me the parts are in...

Mine been a June 2011 model (last production batch of the effected models) means if other people haven't had the recall they should really follow it up - by just calling the dealer and booking it in

So this is my written off Polo, I can tell since I did the auto lights mod and BT touch unit is missing. Buyer beware.
