What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)

Because tinting is illegal and in my opinion a SERIOUS hazard to other road users. I hate people who tint their tail lights for that fact that it is extremly hard to see their lights which are there for a reason. Obviously it depends on the type and amount of tinting, buy in most commodore cases is PITCH BLACK.

The parkers (don't even look like they are on)

And brake lights, indicators, fog lights and reversing lights (look as bright as parkers).

Very dangerous, especially when most people allready give poor notice when doing simple things like indicating, it just makes it harder to work around them

Headlights that are darkened from the factory are designed so that the light that is displayed is still within ADR (or other country) regulations by the means of changing the background to black and having a transparent front (Holden SSV commodore, polo, lancer) and some have a slightly darkened red plastic lens with a darker red background to give a similar effect (Golf R)

Thanks mate! TBH I probably wouldn't have gotten the Shadow Blue if I'd ordered this new (I got it "near new" ), but over time it's really grown on me. I've never seen another blue one in Sydney yet!

Haha I'd like a wrap, but it would probably be in matte grey not black. Then paint the wheels black

We passed 53,000 kms today while making the trek from Melbourne to Sydney.
God I love the 66 TDI, fairly quiet, pulls well when you need to with loads of torque (230 Nm) for a car that weighs 1100 kilograms, and we've managed to make it from Harkaway to Melbourne and then to Sydney on one tank, 45 litres! On the Hume at 110 km/h you can't even hear the engine. Such a great car. We averaged 4.9 L/100 kms the whole way with three people on board and two bags. Hopefully with all of the problems DSG owners are complaining about, our good ol' 5 speed manual will soldier on

Both the ones from kufatec and tuning fanatics shop are the exact same the only difference is the way they have taken the photo that's it which makes the later look darker. The background of the tail lights are gloss black and the outside cover is transparent.

Get it from kufatec, when you purchase them it will take off the 19% VAT because you are purchasing them outside of the European Union which saves a bit of money compared to eBay. Also the service and speed of the postage is way WAY better.

I'm definitely up for a cruse any time, if you need any help installing just let me know.

They quoted me list price for the taillights plus 100 Euro for shipping lol what a joke!

When I asked them how come the VAT charge is included even though i'm getting them delivered to Australia, they didn't even reply, and that was two days ago.

The sales team is very unproffessional and blunt.

The tail lights went from €169 to €147 and postage was €67 when I orded them create a log on if you haven't and you should be able to see the price without vat.

Regardless, I know what the price should have been without VAT, but the fact that they are quoting me VAT inclusion prices (knowing that i'm from Aus) is ridiculous. And a freight cost of 100 Euro is a joke. Maybe it's just that particular salesperson but nevertheless, i'm not purchasing anything from them.

(49us shipping, 255us for the lights, and you get NO reduction of price from VAT since it is a international sale)

Kufatec wins! Trust me I did my research. Also as expensive a kufatecs postage is it is express DHL and will arrive within 5 days. With very little poor handling unlike standard post. I got some things from tuning fanatics (eBay) and they took 5 weeks to arrive. Postage times do come into it. I will agree though kufatecs service is not the best and they did tell me I would get no VAT off but I did. When I messaged tuning fanatics I didn't even get a reply regarding the VAT charge.

Yeah mate seems to be doing fine. Everyone loves it except my sister, girlfriend and mother.
