Every dealer in SA will fit illegal tint as long as you sign the 'waiver'. It's near impossible to get defected for it (unless it's the mirrored tint - then you are stuffed).

I don't think I did too bad considering it was 9.15% cheaper than the highest quote.

Car was sitting on the lot at a reduced price, only things I would have added were the Xenon's which I didn't get, and the Sunroof, which I would have optioned if I ordered one, but this one was way too good to pass up.

The detroits are standard now with the MY13, so effectively you're paying $3k for the Xenon lights. As they are an option and normally $1900, i'd be looking to get it down below $32k drive away. If it's metallic colour, then that's another $500 so maybe ok...

Last week ordered a Polo Gti 5 door DSG silver, no options. I am in Adelaide (2 dealers only!) so not real happy with the lowest price I could bargain for at $31,500 on road with full tank petrol and $180 floor mats. No corporate discount or anything similar.

What I would really like are your opinions on my quoted delivery time? To get the silver colour I have just been advised that the car will arrive in Australia around 7 June for delivery in early July - is this 'normal'? My other options are to choose another colour or the dealer could chase me another car interstate and it may not be fresh stock which is my number 1 priority.

Delivery time for a new order that has to go on the production line then be transported by boat to Australia is about three months. Anything quicker is usually a dealer tracking down another vehicle with the same (or similar) spec already in the country or on the boat then doing a deal with the dealership it was headed for so they can have it.

As for fresh stock, what is your concern??

I doubt there are many Polo GTI's floating about the country as they are still pretty popular. Right now there is only 6 silver DSG GTI's listed on Carsales, none in SA. 5 are listed at MY13.5, 1 is MY13.

I have no problem with a MY13.5 from interstate. I may explore this option further with the dealer tomorrow.

The stock number of the vehicle currently on order for me was already assigned to that dealership at the time of my order so based on your info. 3 months is probably fair and correct and I can possibly wait that long

Lots of reds, one black and one blue at that price in WA. Whites are more like $33,900. Amazing what a difference the colour makes to price. One Silver at $33,490 - will see if my dealer can do a straight swap with this one or other silvers from Eastern States.
