Ah right, thanks mate. Had a drive of a golf last week before I found the Polo's. dealer offered me a 90tsi comfortline with driver assist package for 33.6k, broken down to :
    -1.1k for driver assist
    - 2.7k for sealer delivery
    - rego, ctp, stamp duty and inc gst

I thought it was pretty rough now considering guys on here are getting new or near new GTIs for around that price with more extras!

There's free onroads on the Polo at the moment - and the petrol Polo options are 77TSI or GTI.

Theres no onroad deal on the new Golf 90TSI, it's just been released - the Golf GTI will be more like $45k onroad when it's released.

            DSG or Manuel?

If its DSG, that's a cracking deal

I paid $22,300 w/ extended wty, mats & euro plates, which is a similar cost to sports+comfort.

Was that a manual or DSG? Excellent price if it's the latter. Should be snapped up quick smart.

I paid 21,460 d/a for my missus' MY13 77TSI DSG with comfort pack back in January 13 when they had that calendar year end/beginning sale going on. And that was with corporate as well.

I stuck with the regular warranty and black/white plates but got the mats and obligatory full tank of petrol "thrown" in.

                    • I signed a contract over the weekend for a Polo GTI 6R MY13/13.5 (not confirmed yet) with xenon and candy white, 3dr for 30k.

It was a corporate plus pricing because I told them I am a member of AIPP which has a special arrangement with VW nation wide.

                            • You'd hope they would budge. Without the optional extras admittedly, you can get an in-stock Fabia RS for $26,990 drive away at the moment. Not quite as fancy on the inside as the VW, of course, but more or less the same "under the hood". If you're set on the VW, they're going for under $30k here in WA at present, so the dealers must have a fair bit of play in what they are asking. It seems like they've forgotten that the Toyota 86 is now the current "must have" car.

Good luck with your car hunt, though. I'm sure you'll enjoy the car if/when you pick one up, and a grand either way may well be forgotten after a few months.
Now gone.... 2012 Skoda Fabia RS

Considering all those features it's not a bad price. I got mine without the Sunroof and Bi Xenon for 32 and those those extra two add-ons should add around 2k each it's not bad. If could haggle down to $35k should be sweet price. Is a lot for a Polo GTi tho, but I guess if those extras are important then it's fair enough. If not I'd look for one a bit cheaper though...
