i agree you have to ring around i was told a new polo gti 5 door would be a 8 month wait and none left for sale . i have found 4 so far a red 5 door in lismore . a black 5 door with bixenon and comfort 36.00 drive away at bryant vw brissy.a red 5 door in rockhampton 34.000 drive away. a white 5 door with leather pac and sunroof 37.000 drive away at tweed vw arriving in october not held by anyone . im getting a black 5 door with bixenon and comfort pac for 35.000 drive away with a 8 month wait but think its worth it after the test drive. and all the talk about motor change are rumours i think and who cares they wouldnt replace it with an inferior motor so all good !

I don't get it. Why are you waiting 8 months for the black 5 door when you just told us you found one with the same spec available now? Is it to save $1k? I am not being critical, just curious as to why.

So I got my Polo GTi last night.
White, 4 door, sunroof, comfort pack, audio upgrade.

I only had to wait 8 weeks from the date of the sale! (I may or may not have been extremely lucky and the dealer grabbed a cancelled order which happened to be what I wanted)

Its for the Mrs. I drove it home. And i havent seen her, or it, since. I think she likes it

Haha yeah i still haven't seen a new Polo gti on the road yet, and i've been looking out.
I work in Bayswater off Canterbury Rd so i can't believe i haven't seen you yet.
My car is still sitting at Patrick's yet to be finished so fingers crossed i'll get it by the end of the week.

Dealer doesn't know, not sure what you mean by getting information properly.

Patrick is at the mercy of the wharfies, customs, quarantine authorities, etc. Just hope there are no grass seeds found in any car that was on the ship, and that the wharfies don't decide to strike for more pay.

You should have it within a few weeks.

yeh sounds stupid hey but i originally put deposit on a tsi polo not a gti. then decided an changing to a gti only to find i couldnt get money back . so cars i found were in that time i was waiting to hear if i got money back so pissed to wait 8 months when one is in brissy in few months .i just posted the cars on here that are around brissy goldcoast to help those that havent put a deposit on one hope someone gets one of the cars because they wont last long im sure hope i answered your question i would have brought the black one in brissy in a flash but legal hold on me with my deposit had me thinking twice lol.

Your dealership controls when your car gets done, been mentioned many a time before that if your dealership doesn't tell Patrick autocare (separate company of Patrick, no affiliation with the docks other than the name really) to comply your car and send it to them then it won't happen. The yard down there can literally have cars there for months if they aren't allocated to anyone and they don't get touched until the dealership says so. It's the dealership's stock controller who looks after this, not the sales people.

hi yeh sounds crazy lol. but i had deposit on a tsi and changed mind went with gti . dealer wouldnt give me deposit back so i was stuck.i searched for other cars on net waiting to see if dealer would let me out of contract but wouldnt in end so now a 8 month wait! i put up other gti"s i found around brissy goldcoast to help others on here wanting one now with 4 found coming up in next few months and some ready to go now .

taking delivery of stock standard white 3dr GTI tomorrow, dealership is 450km away, sales manager meeting me halfway...will make for a nice first drive...
