Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Ive figured out how to change the colours of the digital dash and the infotainment system. These are all changeable through the lighting section in the infotainment system. Im super stoked about this as Iv did it once and then VW reset it on me and couldn't remember how to change it again and my history was too long to look back through but I finally found it again.

Just had a phone call from a mate of mine that's a copper, he was telling me he was down at the state cop shop today and they had a bunch of 206 wagons in there getting kitted out for the force. The cops are very happy with their new toys...
The bad news is a lot of people will now think I'm in an unmarked cop car...

The time has come to upgrade from my MKV R32 to something more practical (and hopefully more fuel efficient). Tossing up between the Passat 206TSI wagon or the new MK7.5 Golf R wagon. I think both will be plenty quick enough for my purposes. Key priority is highway fuel consumption and comfort/noise as I do regular Sydney-Canberra trips.
What is the RPM in the 206TSI at 120km/h and is it noisy? My R32 currently sits at close to 3000RPM cruising at 120km/h and while it's effortless, it's loud and still drinks over 10L/100km (can't do a return trip without filling up).

Hi guys want to thank you for this thread. I went to buy a my wagon a few weeks ago and walked away disappointed as was told I couldn't have one if I wanted a tow bar. Not being content with the answer as I thought it could from spec sheet so I did my research and this forum helped me immensely. I am now a very happy owner. Here is a snap that my detailer took. Thanks for all the advice everyone puts up on the forum

Hi guys,
I currently own a 2013 Highline Amarok but I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Tungsten Silver wagon with sunroof.
I was all gungho for a V6 Ultimate Amarok but I am now completely converted to the Passat wagon for its awesome spec, performance and value for money!!
I've read this thread from start to finish and I've seen several mentions of corporate discounts and chasing sub $60k deals, however I have not seen anyone actually confirm they were able to get this sort of pricing.
Everyone seems to be low $60k at best.
HAs anyone actually been able to get sub $60k?
I've shopped around several dealers and I'm currently sitting at a best offer of around $61k. My biggest haggle will be the changeover from the Amarok..............

Doesn't feel as "spirited" as the R36 yet - a few more k's might help (and a few extra ponies....). Done a few little tweaks with OBDeleven so far (TMC, start/stop disable, VIM and Adaptive Lane Assist). Haven't tried out the Adaptive Lane Assist yet to see if it's working.
I liked the deeper boot on the R36 (have a tall 12V car fridge that gets lugged around sometimes), but have found it's possible to drop the floor in the wagon if you take some stoppers out and also the tool kit molding. In some markets this is a std feature by the looks.
Overall, impressed.2017 - VW Passat 206 TSI - R Line Wagon in white
