  • 2018 Passat Comfortline Drive Modes not working?

    Hi,

I've just purchased as 2018 Passat Comfortline (with R-Line Pack). I noticed that the button for the drive modes doesn't actually work (and neither does the button below it that turns off the stop start function). I also can't seem to find how to change the drive modes in the infotainment system, however I note that in the top left corner is does say I'm in "Normal" mode.

Other than these two minor problems, I've found the car to be a great buy!

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

You can also get to the drive modes by going through the head units menu but its quite a few clicks through menus etc.

If the drive mode button and start/stop button are not working it would suggest that perhaps this string of buttons is faulty (perhaps previous owner spilt a drink on them for example?) and you may need to replace them.

Take it to a VW dealer.. it is either in warranty or just outside...

I've just purchased it so it's under the 3 month statutory warranty at the very least which might cover me

Update: Sounds like (hopefully) it's all going to be covered by the dealer.

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark on my guess as to what has happened... I think someone could've spilt a hot drink on it as there's slight bubbling around the buttons also
