Definitely worth having the oil at least. I made the mistake of believing what I read - that you can do it without losing any. Unless you're super quick or super lucky (neither of which was I) you will lose some so best to be prepared. Considering it only holds 300-400ml it doesn't take much of a loss to starve the pump
Obviously that's newer version to what I got (with blue cover) - do you know what the additional benefits are of newer version?
Biggest difference I noticed was smoother/quicker transition of power between axles - none of that feeling of apparent additional gear change when taking off!
Also handling, while by no means rear-biased, is certainly more neutral when pushing it. Although I had springs and lower control arm bushes/alk done around same time which certainly reduced natural understeer tendency as well.
Be curious as to how yours will feel given you've had all that done already so will be used to the handling and be able to notice the difference more. Certainly makes for nice neutral/safe feeling 4 wheel drifts when on the limit ( as I discovered at recent track day)

I've got the install guide which came with the product and it looks simple enough but it really doesn't say that much about how best to go about it.

Also did you replace your Haldex oil at the same time?

Second time removal???? Was that when you busted things?
Yes I used jack stands. You only have to lift one wheel ( rear passenger side). But if you can put the car on a hoist would make the job much easier

Yeah I change my Haldex oil same time actually I did it twice haha .. first time when my diff got damaged and the second time when installing my HPA Haldex.

Yes increase rev limit would probably do it but I'm not chasing numbers that badly that I'd want to destroy the engine

One connector is bitch to unplug (smaller one) so I first removed the two bolts from haldex unit and took the controller off from solenoid and then removed the connector. Also top bolt is hard to access (have some fun with a short allen key ) I used a very small mini ratchet I bought just for the purpose for the second time removal and install !

Another thing is solenoid is stuck in there( it will not come out with the controller) and hard to pull out by hand. I used vice grip to pull it out.( but be careful not to damage the solenoid body or connector) When you pulled out the old solenoid haldex oil will come out so be prepared to put the new one ASAP.

Good luck with the install, looking forward for a nice review.

Thanks for that - nice study guide

Unfortunately I can't get to 100km/hr in second gear so need to shift again and as you say it doesn't ever recover the acceleration. The gear change combined with the increased wind resistance is what slows it down.

Here's the proof. Intercooler change gives around 0.35sec improvement in 0-100 time:

Or the other way to look at it was the old intercoller was robbing me of +20kw.

I'll be interested to find out when it goes back on the dyno in a month or so.
