 Tyre help

Hi Guys, i just picked up a set of rims:19x8.5 +45. Was wondering if anyone could recommend some tyres?
I already went to a couple of places with dimensions: 245/45R/19
One place, said it was wrong, said to get 255/40/19 tyres?
Which one to go for?MY10 Tiguan 125TSI /APR Stage 2

Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing

Try this tyre calculator, as a rule of thumb stay within 2% difference of the standard tyre diameter.

The 255 is closer to the original diameter. I run 255's on my 20"s and the width looks really good. Given you have ET45 offset you may have some issues with that width though. But you can always try. Maybe try some 225/45s?2008 VRS Wagon. Yellow, very yellow!
 Forever blowing bubbles.

I paid $200 per corner for my KU31's but that was part of the package with the wheels.Originally posted by Suffolk View PostThank's for the info.
Ended up with 245/45/19 Kumho KU17 got them for $250 each $1000 including fitting and alignment.
Do you think i got a good deal???
Not usre if the 17's are better than the 31's or not so it depends on their quality.

Good that you got the fitment and aligning in though.

KU31 - Good for street, not for drift
KU17 - Good for street and drift, quietest directional tyre made by Kumho, supposedly 30% grippier than Federal 595s.

I was going to get the KU31's from ebay $200 each from sydney. But then adding cost of shipping, fitment and alignment (around $200)
and i could be bothered waiting.

 Also considering the KU17 is a better tyre than a KU31, i think i done okay.MY10 Tiguan 125TSI /APR Stage 2
