After market audio upgrades for the Tig

Just had my first service (7500kms) and my mechanic did a Vagcom scan. apparently with the aftermarket speakers I get an error code which says my front speakers aren't working. Not really that worried but is there any way to get rid of this? He did clear it but it came back as soon as the ignition was switched on again.

There's nothing you can do about the error and there is no reason to do anything about the error as it won't affect anything.

no, I went with a removable tube that I can either stand vertically or lay down horizontally and that can be easily removed if I really need that extra bit of space (which hasn't happened yet). I have seen a pod made for the RH side that looked very neat.

anyone know of an RNS510 clone that has a hard drive?

Maybe I should just get an RNS510 (anyone remember the name of the guy in Europe that was selling the stock units? - tommy someone?).

There are no RNS 510 clo..... (actually I wouldn't use the world clone or even imitation as they don't come close to what the RNS 510 offers either in functionality or reliability) with a hard drive.

What do you do about a spare though?

You "could" use the Euro system of just carrying a repair kit. That's actually an option with the Tig in Europe and you then have a lowered floor in the boot. Guess it's only any good for a puncture rather than a blow-out or something but it's evidently becoming more common over there.

Well am hunting around for peeps who have already got experience working with the Tiguan, don't want anything untoward happening to my new baby!

If anyone knows an installer who has done work upgrading the audio in the Tig let me know.
