Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Not wrong!! I paid $57365 drive away for my Wolfsburg and he wants $365 less!!! Everyone needs to tell him he’s dreaming!!!

If you take to a dealer you’ll likely get the apprentice change your oil and only overseen by a mechanic. Apprentice will often think he’s getting the crappy jobs and be less interested in doing a good job.

Plus I get to talk to the person that has worked on my car which you often don’t get at a dealership.

Hey mate. Yeah your 100% rite. I took our wolf for its first service in parramatta DENLO. Not only are the office people rude and very bad at communication but bad at workmanship. I took of for its first 1500 k service. Couple of days later noticed oil on the garage floor. Hmmmmm what’s that I thought. Looked under car seen oil dripping from the sump. Jacked the car up and what do you know the sump plugs leaking. Check out the oil in car next to empty. Grate. There hopeless. Do you know if any independent vw approved mechanics In western Sydney?

That is strange as they shouldn’t touch your oil at the 1,500km checkup. It’s basically to run spanners over all the bolts and check everything is OK.

I know quite a few people recommend Arthur at Exoticars. I haven’t used them personally but do get recommended a fair bit.

        • Same here...
          I have enough of dealerships.
Just bought a ex demo and they didn’t do 2000kms service or any recalls...
Anybody can recommend a good VW mechanics on the Gold Coast?

That’s strange, I was told a 1,500km service was not necessary and only come for the 12months/10,0000 Service?

              • Hi All,

I am in the market for My19 132 Allspace with DAP and Sound and Vision packages. What is the drive away price I should be aiming for?

Similar configuration is advertised in carsales.com.au for around 54-55k.

                    • Hi All.

Just signed for a 2018 Tiguan Allspace 140TDI with sound and vision package, White, demo, done 3900kms, down to $48700. Was getting 132TSI and 110TDI quotes in that range, but the 140 felt more at home with the extra weight.

We do over 30,000 kms so the diesel should hopefully net us a few small gains in consumption too.

                      • Hey guys,

Looking at purchasing a white 162TSI Highline Allspace with R-Line pack, S&V and towbar. What should I be aiming for?

A bit of reading around this thread and other places suggests that $57500 - $58500 should be achievable. Is that correct?

                        Comment

                        • Should be achievable.
I recently paid $62600 for metallic highline allspace with all 3 options and accessories incl towbar, roofbar, boot sill protector, tint, weather shields, luggage tray, rubber mats.

The price included fleet discount through lease though.

                          • Hi all. Long time since I’ve been on this forum, or any VW forum for that matter, though I used to frequent vwgolfnet and vwvortex.

I’m chatting with a Sydney dealer on a Tiguan 162 R-line with all key options, roof, sound and vision, in any color I want. Sitting at 57k drive-away.

I have a family and friends discount of 1k which will apply to my final figure (so therefore $56k driveaway currently). Im hoping for a neat 55k including my discount.

Yes/No? Try for more? Keen for some guidance.

                            Thanks all.

                              • Have been quoted $57500 for MY19 Highline Allspace with R-line pack, towbar, boot liner and weather shields after a short bit of negotiating.

Was hoping to get one with S&V for 57.5 to 58.5.

Is the offer competitive or should I be pushing harder?
