    • I am picking up my Tiguan this Thursday and got it for $59.2k. 18 Tiguan Allspace MY19 162TSI White with R Line/ Sunroof and Sound and Vision pack. Got the 1.99% too which was the big swing factor for us to sell our 1 year old Kodiaq over to the Tiguan. Very excited with it!

I'm not sure if this is a good price, the numbers worked for our household budget and I jumped onto it without much thought. Now I'm not sure if it could have been cheaper...

Put it this way, I got mine for 61k without a sunroof (didn't want it) and with dealer tinting. I know different states will have different drive away prices, but you got a better deal than me! Congrats on your purchase.

That's true, different states have different pricing. Thanks we are very excited, I really like the Wolfsburg and it is a shame they didn't bring it in for the Allspace.

I like the bigger boot space in the Allspace but the car is longer (wifey thinks it’s too long for her, maybe she is a bad driver [emoji3]). Also there’s more leg room in the 2nd row seats?

VWA would get hauled over the coals if thy try and control what dealerships sell for.... that would be Resale Price Maintenance.
of course, the chances of the ACCC actually enforcing it are slim to none....

Micky, we are not talking about resale value. We are talking about brand new prices which is set by the manufacturer as a price guide on what they should be paying for their goods. If the dealer is over-pricing their own product then the consumer has the right to complain to the ACCC they are being over-charged.

Mine is very similar to yours, white Allspace R Line as well! I wanted boot liner and am kicking myself for not asking for it.

Resale Price maintenance is a specific term in Consumer Law referring to the manufacturer/distributor controlling the price that dealers are selling goods for brand new, nothing to do with second hand values (though I can see how the confusion arises!)

He's got to be kidding right. That's as much as people are paying drive-away. You've still got to factor into account 6 months rego, depreciation, 6 months warranty and transfer fees of around $2k. Plus 5,000km on the clock. I think I'd be going with a new non-Wolfy...
