+ a few accessories... (metal sill protector, weather shields, luggage tray...)

Do you think around $61K drive away is achievable in Sydney at this stage, if I were also to finance (not novated) - if that has any impact at all...

You should be able to get close to it for sure - I got my 162 allspace with all options in the colour I wanted all up for 61500 drive away and that was financed with the guaranteed buyback option.

Dealers will get hauled over the coals if they sell for more than RRP.

The 1.99% finance offer has really given a big push on moving all the 2018 plated cars (offer is for MY18 and MY19 stock cars so it's possible some 2019 plated cars may sneak through on this deal). I much rather see this type of offer rather than discounting the price as it doesn't hit second-hand prices so badly.

Yeah I took advantage of this deal and got an MY19 Allspace and also got about $7k off of the price at the same time...while usually a dealer will say they won't discount the price of the car with a special finance rate they are often lying and you can get money off.

Yes 1.99% is VW incentive and nothing to do with dealer discount. Sometimes VW offers incentives/specials and you get this on top of whatever dealer discount is being offered.

That’s a good deal with a leasing company! I got a quote from one of them and best they could do was $60k

Delivery stipulated to be by 31 March to get it in the FBT year. We’re getting it in white.

I took the reports of $57.5k to the leasing company who claim to get you a better price or pay you a penalty fee. It worked in my favour.
