So!!! I bit the bullet and did this, and boom, couldn’t stop smiling all the way home!! [emoji108][emoji4][emoji4]
Except, I opted in for an S3 cat back instead of the MK7 R, only because I found one with super low k’s from a new car, which had the motors still attached and in pristine condition all over (including the tips in perfect condition)… and also did a resonator delete at the same time. [emoji13]
In case anyone is wondering it was done by Rob Bliss exhausts who were super helpful and seemed to know what they were talking about!
It’s been raining in Brizi, so haven’t had a look to see underneath the quality of their work just yet, but they got the rear alignment of the tips spot on [emoji108]
Loving the look and the sound so far!!

Yeah fitting is the same but instead of oval tips you'll have round ones.

Hi all, enjoyed readig this thread, would anyone know of a muffler installer in Sydneys western suburbs that has done the Golf R /Tiguan exhaust conversion, its hard to find anyone that will attempt it or not RIP you off. look forward to some response.

finally had my Golf R muffler fitted at Hi Tech exhaust Darlinghurst, also had my original resonator fitted as I didn't want it to be to loud. Kept the back false tips as I wanted to keep it looking standard.

Any drone with the stock downfacing exhaust tips?

Had the pipes slightly angled out in fear of droning, no drone at all. With valves closed nice and quiet for the Mrs, with them open a nice deep rumble. Very happy.

Can I ask what it set you back and how long did it take?

And do you manually adjust the valves?

Hi dafidav, 200 for muffler with motors, 400 mod and install. waiting on the arrival of on/off remote exhaust switch to come in. took about 90 min.

AWE Switchpath or APR work with some minor wiring modification
