I sense you're a Westie in Sydney haha

Hopefully will LC battle you at the lights one day (to 60km/h of course) haha

        • Nice tone, and I hear a few burbles in your revs as well. Are the burbles due to the res delete or the tune, or both?

I currently have the mk 7.5 R Muffler with valves permanently opened on my 162TSI. I do get a deep rumble on idle, and a nice DSG fart on upshifts but no burbles on revs. Keen to get this..

Also, any drone with your res delete?

I got the tune before the exhaust so I can't comment whether or not the tune makes a difference.
I had the muffler swapped over first and there were some burbles but not as frequent or as noticeable.
The res delete kind of amplified everything a bit more and I don't experience any droning, this is with valves closed.

            • I have the harness/connectors out of a Mk7 Golf R. Now to work out where to run the wires...

Hoping to enable the valve controllers through the ECU as the option is there using VCDS to enable them.

I’m going to run the wires from the valve controller back into the Pins in the ECU that the Golf uses for valve control. Then hope that enabling the exhaust flaps option in the ECU module works on a Tiguan... would save using an external valve controller and operate the valves like OEM.

                        • So I was in Surry Hills today around 2pm when I saw a black SWB Tig (maybe was a Wolfsburg) and it’s exhausting had a nice rumble without it being too loud. They were doing a three point turn so wasn’t gunning it or anything, but certainly sounded sweet!

No, got these from EBay, some company in Sydney, buys Akrapovic seconds. Nothing wrong with them, just don’t come in original packaging.
