I’ll post this here too. Stock run on the dyno last weekend:
I was actually quite surprised as my 155TSI Tig on the same dyno made 120kwaw stock and 144kwaw stage 1.

Make sure whoever you start with can work with you along the journey. Don’t want to have to change tuners mid-way through as you’ll likely have to pay twice.

MY 18/19 Tiguan performance upgrades.
Hey anyone modified their 162’s at all?
I recently got a Stage 1 Flash tune (APR) on my 2018 Wolfsburg Tiguan. Bloody impressive, cost effective power gain. I got it done for $1000 on one of their discount days, never used APR before but after a lot of research decided to go with them. After I drove out and gave it a boot full I had to go back and thank them, it has transformed the car into a very surprising sleeper. Anyone else done a tune? If so how have you found it?

I started with the stage 1 APR tune and then got the mod bug to do more, stage 1 is great bang for bucks! There are a few threads on the tuning topic, probably worth while to search for “tuning,” I have also created an IS38 and big turbo thread which is probably worth a skim read. There are around 5 of us who have done an IS38/ Golf R turbo swap on our Tigs in Aus, in my opinion it gives phenomenal power increase with literally no daily driving sacrifice interms of having a broad power band.VW Tiguan 162 TSI Highline w/ R-Line & DAP. Thanks Tiggy, appreciate the feedback. It’s been a while since I dabbled in cars worthy of tune, I can’t believe how far it’s come especially in the last few years. I will definitely be looking at stage two in the near future, the guys at APR definitely back up what you say in regards to the turbo upgrade slash stage 3. What sort of 0-100 times is your Tig at, and have you run it over the quarter?

Would be good to translate engine kW claimed by these shops to real wheel kW output. And yes I'll setup derived torque too, so no sky high roller torque numbers 😉Daily 2018 Tiguan MK2 Sportline (Drag & Drop Tune, 12.9s @ 108mph)

I reckon have a chat to Trent at Chequered Tuning (he is Dandenong South, VIC) and see if he is keen to pop your car and do several pulls on his Dynapacks (they're hub dyno units, with SAE correction would be pretty accurate).
Tell him someone from the Skylines Australia group recommended.
I'm curious if I can buy my own Revo License and tune it myself, not a fan of these "Stages". I want access to all the tables to do what I want to do, and disable any sensors as I wish.Daily 2018 Tiguan MK2 Sportline (Drag & Drop Tune, 12.9s @ 108mph)

As far as torque figures go I'm happy with real torque off the dyno as it takes out a lot of the variables with tyre size, inflation, etc, etc.
The engine kW and torque numbers are just calculated values. I prefer the @wheels numbers but each to their own

Definitely each to their own, however if you're getting wheel kW why not get wheell torque right (it's literally just a calculated value from the engine RPM - if you're able to attain it from the OBD or an inductive pickup)?
I might contact Revo one day, lately been caught up learning about MHD and Tuner Pro (planning to get into BMW tuning and move away from tuning Nissans, Toyotas, etc.. owners are often tight arses and 90% of the time bring half baked cars to me to tune and often we just burn dyno time/money).Last edited by Dose Pipe Sutututu; 03-12-2018, 02:12 PM.Daily 2018 Tiguan MK2 Sportline (Drag & Drop Tune, 12.9s @ 108mph)

I know plenty of shops with dynos we could use, but they wont do it for free.
If you get the tuning software required you could access everything yourself and custom tune.Tiguan Gen2 162TSI Etuners IS38 Stage 3 238.6 kw@4 wheels
