Have been told APR retail is $1299, i've heard of 10% off promotions. Are the tuners negotiable on price, there are no promotions on at the moment.
I think i've settled on using APR as i'll only go with a stage 1 and do not plan to make any physical modifications to the vehicle.
If at some stage i want to go back to stock is this something i can get done easily or am i up for another $1300 clams?
You will need to wait for EOFY sales or Christmas

Mine made 131 stock and 164 stage 1, so comparable, different dyno but difference between stock and stage 1 kw the same.

Looks like all the runs are hitting igniton cut before 6500rpm, mine dropped off closer to 6800rpm

Different dynos but mine made 141kwaw stock. Still waiting for the tuned number....

Gains are decent with 20-40kwaw gain through the entire rev range. It'll certainly be significantly quicker on the road.

                • Dont look at the peak numbers, look at the difference mid range (area under the graph) which tells the real story. especially with Stage 2 vs Stage 1, stock IS20 runs out of puff at the top end that why peak diferences dont see that big a difference.

Finally someone who knows how to read a graph!!! Area under the graph is key!

                    • Can anyone tell me if a catted downpipe will throw a check engine light if only using a jb4 (instead of a tune which can turn off the trigger)?

                        Probably.

Thanks but does anyone know or have experience with this?

A catless would but I am interested to know if good quality catted one can avoid this without intervention.

                          • Pretty much any 3” DP will throw a fault code which needs to be coded out in the tune file. Best to talk to Burger motorsports about what your plans are.

                            • You could always try an O2 sensor spacer. It sometimes works.

                              • I looked into it some more and the jb4 can auto clear the fault code. Only downside is it will auto clear all of them so you would have to turn it off periodically to check for anything secondary
