I thought it was the Audi accelerator mod.

Where did you find this new mod?

It's in the golf threads and in obdeleven forum I think. Just googled for throttle response vcds mods.

You were moding the Power Steering module?
The codes should be applied to your engine module to change the accelerator behaviour.
      I think you are wrong.

As the others indicate, it is counterintuitive but I have confirmed it works.
It does reduce tip in lag and improve throttle response a bit.

Overall less of an effect than a Pedalbox in its lowest of 21 settings (Eco with negative 3), other than OFF.

        Direct Acceleration - Throttle response
With this mod, you can change the behaviour of the accelerator. Option B provides a more linear acceleration without sudden deliveries.
        1. Module 44 - Power Steering (Code 19249)
        2. Adaptation
        3. Select - switching driving profile
        Choices:
A - Gradual, controlled by time
B - Directly controlled threshold value
Just did this, this morning and the car feels so much better, no need to jam it into S mode to over take anymore.

It reduced the lag time between the pedal and the torque request table!

        • Are there any negatives to the gearbox from this ‘mod’

Clutch wear, harshness in driveline, gearchanges rough/slurred, strange hill-hold behaviours and whatnot?

If not, I’m keen to try anything that will make my dsg experience better.

None to be honest, the timer/delay function is just for idiots who can't seem to work out how articulate their foot and use the accelerator properly. Kind of reminds me of my 70 year old mum driving, it's 0% TPS or 50% TPS, nothing in between LOL..

            • Ecu + DSG tunes takes care of the sloop fly by wire throttle response even more.

MY MK6 R throttle response was really bad, especially when trying to overtake in a high gear, would have to nearly floor it for the transmission to kick down a few gears.

              • I made the Direct Acceleration change yesterday and it does feel different, especially driving around in the Hills District where it typically finds itself in the wrong gear moving through the side streets. I like it!

                • Can anyone tell me what bits are supposed to be on in Module 4B, Byte 10. I’ve been trying to to activate DLA by OBD11, but have had a few problems.

                    Are you using this guide?

Activate Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) - from MY 2017 - AS.Coding

i picked up my wolfsburg yesterday and with less 60kms on the clock I coded DLA and TMC without issue

                    • Nice, would prob consider this down the track. I'm super new to the VW coding game, but have experience working with Carly for BMW.

                      Couple of questions:
                      1) Is it a fairly involved job or is it a matter of buying the OBD11, and selecting the mods via an app? Or do you have to manually add coding lines to this?
                      2) Does the Traffic monitoring appear in the heads up display as well? Or just in the AID?

                      Thanks!

Yes I am using this. Been having problems including low battery so I tried reversing all the changes and reinstalling. I don’t know if I accidentally activated or deactivated some bits in module 4B, byte 10, so if someone could please tell me what the standard settings are?

if your using an OBDEleven, then email your self the log or history and it will have the old values before you changed it in there.

This is the long coding from mine before I changed it:

i used the OBDELEVEN for the first time last night, didn’t even read the instructions or read the OBDEleven forums just figured it all out myself using the link above. So I don’t think it’s difficult but my only advice is to do one thing at a time.

No the TMC doesn’t appear in the HUD, and I wonder if the satnav uses it to calculate the quickest route, I need to test this more. If I click traffic it will display all the messages for my route but I don’t think it incorporates it into the route planning.

TBH I’m finding the HUD a real let down, at 110km/h the pop up glass vibrates a little which is distracting at night. The lack of info on it is bad as well. I would say it’s slightly better than not having one, but coming from a Beamer that had an excellent HUD it will take a bit getting use too!

I have the long coding in history, it’s the actual bits in byte 10 which are ticked or not that I require.

you should be able to tick the bits until matches the code above, make sure you have the long code selected so you can see it change when you tick it or un tick the boxes.

i probably need to read up on if it’s possible to restore the original, or perhaps save the original code so I can recall it if I need too.
