Can a VCDS change fix this ?
Yes this can be disabled via VCDS and I have done this today

I've found this is adjustable in the Car menu settings under Driver Assistance. You can set it to either remember the last distance or default distance you want each time you start.

You can set this in the settings as last set parameter or something like that and it will always start as you left it, no need to adjust every time.
Thanks ArdiL, I'll be setting this to minimum setting as it's easy to increase it but painful if you want to reduce it as you have to go all the way around...

On mine I also had it remember auto highbeam setting.

The only thing I couldn’t get the car to remember sports and eco gear modes.

Yes I have VCDS and have turned off stop/start, nag screen and enabled needle sweep on start-up. I hadn't found the setting for ACC default distance, however others have said you can set this up through the car settings screen so I'll give that a go in the morning.

In terms of sports and eco modes I thought that was under your driver profile... or am I not understanding what you're trying to save.

The car will remember sports and eco mode for acc but it won’t remember eco and sports for your gearbox unfortunately. So if you want to be environmentally friendly and you have to select eco everyone drive. It’s not so bad with sports as that’s just pulling the gear lever back.

          • I've fixed all your issues Tigger73 with OBD11, I've also set the Haldex to quiet as well but haven't had the chance to properly test it.

Only thing that is annoying is the slight clunk from the front RHS and now my LHS door has developed a rattle. Might as well replace the speakers once the trim comes off lol.

Yes all problems fixed with Vagcom except I haven’t changed any settings on the Haldex yet.

I really wanted to live with the stock car for a bit before going and making any changes. Now it’s a new and improved Tig [emoji16]

It’s identical mechanically to the R-line except for HUD and audio system.

Of course the external colours are a personal preference thing.

The first Wolfsburg models were only delivered a couple of weeks back so still early days.

One other thing I’ve noticed is that the steering wheel appears to be slightly offset (right) in relation to the driving position.

Whether this is intentional or a requirement for airbags / passenger protection / crash rating.

                      • Photo added to the previous post but you can clearly see that there’s an offset between the centre of the steering wheel and the centre of the seat.

You can feel it when driving too that your body is slightly turned towards the right in the seat. It’s not a big deal but it’s just an observation.

Is this off center issue with all Tiguan's ? Did you check the other Tiguan's at the dealership if they have the same off center issue ?

Perhaps the seat was assembled a few inches to the Left ?

I didn't check other Tiguans. It's just reasonably obvious with mine as there's stitching in the centre of the steering wheel and also on the seat and they don't line up.

I'd be interested to hear from other Tiguan owners if this is the case. I actually suspect they're all like that unless my seat rails are offset somehow.

Yes Dynaudio in the Wolfsburg. You can also get this as an option in MY19 R-line.

These have only just started getting delivered in the last couple of weeks.
