    boot lip protector

received my boot lip/load sill/trunk protector over the weekend

ordered from China via Ali Express (almost a month for delivery)

wasn't a huge fan of the silver coloured VW version on a darker car and found this darker coloured style which also has the option for the inner protection on the plastic edge

pretty happy with the fit and finish

I test-fitted mine and it didn't fit perfectly so requested for a refund.

They were good to deal with through eBay and they did refund me my money.

I ended up buying the Kmart boot liner which suits my needs so far, will decide later if I still want a stick on boot sill protector
Just thought I would update this.
Turns out my rear bumper was not perfectly reinstalled after the tow bar was installed therefore causing bowing of the central aspect of the bumper. This is why the boot sill protector didn't fit.

After having the rear bumper reinstalled correctly, the boot sill protector fits perfectly. It has been about 8 months now and the stainless steel protector has held up extremely well to scrapes of prams, suitcases and heavy plastic boxes. Surprisingly there is minimal fine scratches in the stainless steel so I haven't needed to polish it with the included polishing cream.

I would highly recommend the boot sill protector as is significantly cheaper than the genuine VW one (which is made of plastic).

2017 2018 Volkswagen VW Tiguan LFOTPP in-Dash Screen Protector, HD Clear Tempered Glass Car Navigation Screen Protective Film,Anti Scratch Touch Smooth 9.2inch: Amazon.com.au: Electronics

I bought this a while back, fitted it last weekend. So far has done a good job resisting finger prints and smears. Fits perfectly and easy to fit, just need to take your time to ensure the screen is clean and well aligned.

I am not a huge fan of the spring loaded cup holders in the tig (center ones). Has any one found any after market inserts that can fit in there ?

Also did anyone buy any moulded inserts for under the arm rest in the center for the storage area to divide it up ?

I replaced mine with the same LED too, the frosted cover light slides a bit towards the end of the car (if I remember correctly) then you can push it out with your hand from behind.
