Where did people get the best quotes/prices on comprehensive insurance for their new Tigs? Prices obviously vary widely. Did people go market or agreed value for insurance prices?

Tried both iSelect and compare the market, ended up going through AAMI again, did a transfer of cars and retained my platinum bonus, they were also heaps cheaper and I didn't have to list my leaner driver on the policy which saved around $900 compared to quotes received, some you have to or simply won't insure under 25's. All we pay is extra excess if they're at the wheel in the case of an accident.

So I have been in hunkered down in full "Wait Mode" for a while now, but today I called the Stealer for an update on my Nadcon as he hadnt responded to an email earlier in the week requesting a new pic as the car was supposed to start being built tomorrow.....

He confirmed that it had once again slipped, so thats now ETA of ship of originally mid August, then mid October, and now mid November!!!

I'm at breaking point....I might just go and buy a used Audi SQ5 instead....someone please talk me out of it

I know how you feel mate. I was close to dropping my order a few weeks back and going second hand macan or glc43. Logic got hold of me as the features on the tig vs. brawn was a no brainer for me. Also the tig isn't exactly a slouch .. also on our roads.. not much of the brawn can be used. Rather not waste money on raw brawn that I may only tap into once in a while. Also things suddenly sped up on my delivery and the dealer was playing nice.

Tough choice on your wait. I would wait and do a test drive every weekend!! Hahaaa

I gave enabling Traffic Reports via OBDEleven a crack tonight and it worked straight away

Picked up my Tig today, have spent a few hours in it ferrying the kids around to various things, haven't had much time to play/customise yet, but it's been great, so much more refined than my X-Trail, driving is a pleasure. Few things that come to mind.

- Dynamic Lights are brilliant, love watching them start up
- interior lighting is great, like the way the door handles are illuminated.
- Apple car play is great
- Bluetooth a breeze to setup
- been taking it really easy, but you can feel the power under the hood
- ride on the 20" wheels is firmer than I thought it'd be, feel the rough surfaces more than I ever have before
- delivery experience at the dealership was great, really thorough
- it's now filthy as there's been lots of showers this arvo
- kids love it
- automatic boot opener is cool
- boot is bigger than I remember
- DSG has been smooth
- stop/start is ok, not causing me any issues
- ALG is not an option under systems menu
- Lane assist gives a nice reminder when drifting lanes, tested on purpose
- Stereo is much better than I remember, actually quite decent and probably the best I've had in a car

thats about it for now, will add the obligatory pic in the appropriate thread but haven't had time to stop and take pics yet sorry

hang in for those who are still waiting, the first few hours in it have me mightly impressed

Plan on ordering one of these and doing it myself as well. Interestingly the dealer was very confident that VWA are working on Traffic reports and the feature will be available later this year.

Looks good doesn't it, took mine for a bit of squirt up Arthurs Seat and then back through Flinders to home yesterday, have already clocked up 450Km already. Doing a decent drive next week over the Black Spur. Loving the car, can feel the engine loosening up already, it's much more willing to get moving now, but still taking it easy

Don't think they'll be any MY18's delivered before Nov/Dec. spoke with my dealer last week who said that they don't have build dates confirmed for any MY18s as yet and don't expect to get one for their show room til the end of the year. And that was biggest dealership in NSW. Hang on in there!!

Strange, i have a fully loaded 162 coming my way by the end of August and i am 100% certain it says my18 on the nadcon print that i have
