I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Got everything but the sunroof. DAP is a must have IMHO.

We ordered just before Xmas and delivery was 29 Apr.

I have heard the sunroof was causing delays earlier on so maybe that's why.

Our car was purchased by a lease company as I can novated lease the car through work.

I think the notional price was $54,600 is GST had been applied, so the real cost was under $50K as there is no GST on a lease.

I'm waiting on a diesel R Line with DAP. Dealership (Mascot VW) has said about two weeks till delivery but hoping it will be sooner.

Am going to look into upgrading the speakers and adding traffic to the SatNav I think.

Mines a 162TSI, I'd love it to be ready to pick up before the 3rd as that weekend I'm on a trip and can run it in a bit. Realistically it'll be the week after....

Btw should I be happy with built week 21 (considering that most changes are for the worse)? Or maybe MY18 (week 22) would have been better option?

Mine is scheduled for build week 21 (ordered 10 Feb) so its been a long wait. I've ordered a TSI 162 R line with DAP (Tungsten Silver). I've been told delivery will be around week 32 (8 Aug). Do you know when you're vehicle is due for delivery?

Reaches Sydney around 26th June and expecting to pick it up roughly first/second week July. No confirmed date on pickup as yet.

So I received my new Tiguan 132 TSI on Monday. So far I am pretty happy with the way it drives, the interior and how both the Infotainment/DAP function in concert. After reading the operation manual, one can say this is a borderline smart car. There are still a lot of features and functions I have yet to read about and possibly utilise.
I was initially pessimistic about lane assist but am surprised at how well it has worked so far on both freeways and Highways. Really like the Area View also.
One disappointment so far is how a Hyundai Getz side mirror was able to cause a dimple size dent on the door (drivers side) just below the handle. Previously owned a Golf GTI MK6 and I have inadvertently hit the same side mirror numerous times without sustaining a single dent.

No room for discounts etc and no loyalty discount either.
Went to my works recommended lease company and within a couple of days he had found me a deal for $57k, with the lease value even lower.
Dealer was not happy and kept telling me it must be dodgy.
Still didnt try and offer me a cheaper price though.
Only issue now is trying to offload my old mkv gti.

Most of the dealership are not discounting anymore and are all trying to sell for 64-65k now.

New to the forum and about to order my first VW

Am going for the 162TSI + DAP + RLine - but can't decide on the sunroof, have been told January delivery.

Any thoughts? Pros and cons?
