I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Nice one! Ordered end of Oct 16. Should be ready for delivery in a week or so. Can I ask which dealer?

Rockdale VW through a lease company.

Talking to the sales lady yesterday, she says she is now telling buyers to expect an 8 month delay at best. She said she could see this problem occurring. The Rline was always going to be more popular but VW Australia and in Germany thought differently. Instead of producing more of the model that would be more popular they pumped out the lower spec versions which few people are buying. If you want a non Rline version you can get one almost immediately.

I've owned Audi for years. Audi Australia have always been the completely out of touch with their customer base. It seems this corporate incompetence extends to the whole VAG company.

On a side note. Couldn't wait. Picking her up today. [emoji3]

I got a built email this morning as well, Dealer told me August Delivery. Surely it doesn't take 3 months to ship and deliver?

Yeah should be early July.. I'm hoping our cars will make it onto the Mignon, leaves 12/5, as it's coming straight from Bremerhaven to Melbourne and then onto Port Kembla, only 37 days which is one of the fast routes... fingers crossed, but it could end up on about 4 or 5 others leaving around then... Have asked for the VIN to start playing track the car lotto

Same here! Build confirmation this morning - Mascot NSW Dealership told me delivery first week in Aug!!

They'll just be playing it safe, was the build time as per your expectation? mine was a week earlier. So maybe everything has been shifted up a week or so and they're sticking to original estimates. Anyway once it's on a ship you'll then know when it'll be landing. Add 2-3 weeks once it's here and that's when you should be getting it (based on others experiences).
