For all you guys with VIN's and following your Tiguans, did you get any emails after the "built" email? Maybe a "ship" email? Or is that only after it hits Australia?

I've got a VIN but no showing up on shipping manifest as yet. Dealer tells me it's waiting on transportation from Germany.

After I got the built email (1/9) it took a week or so to extract the VIN from my dealer. I kept checking the WWL tracking website but nothing came up until after the boat had sailed on 19/9. Still no shipped email as at 29/9 even though it is over 1/4 of the way here.

As an exercise in engaging customers it is a great concept but the execution falls well short as the updates are infrequent and not very timely. How hard is it these days to get a few computers keeping each other updated in real time??

picked up my 140tdi Rline with Dap in Indium grey yesterday

coming from a 2014 180tdi Touareg & i also own a 147tsi Jetta (loved all the cars)

the Diesel drives very nice (picked up car from Wollongong yday and drove back to Sydney)

picked up the car within 2 weeks of looking, so pretty stoked with that, couldnt wait 6 months for an order, so was fortunate enough to pick up one that someone ordered and cancelled

was looking at an STi or GTS Subaru Levorg as an alternative as i could get one under 50k brand new
but my wife is a snob now and wont drive anything other than a Euro car specifically VW or Audi lol

also noticed, i have the new 9.2-inch infotainment system touch screen, all the other Rlines i have seen dont have this and still use the old system, did i get an my18 or just the 2nd batch that came in have the new screens?

You should have received the vin number by now. I received mine a few weeks ago and now received the VW email stating it's on the ship.
