Seems the Morning Crystal is just going around the Horn of Africa!

So the Morning Crystal departed Sth Africa yesterday and is on route to Melbourne now. ETA 23/24 Oct. So far it's been tracking to schedule.

Hi all, I ordered my tiggy in July 2017 with an initial ETA of January 2018. I chased it up this weekend have been told by the dealer that it's "gone into build" and that details would be available once it is completed. Leaning on the experiences of you guys in this forum, how long does the build period generally take? and is it likely that a January ETA is not out of the question?

Well I finally have some good news on my car, with the "I'm on my way' email and the VIN number having arrived last week. Looks like mine is on the Themis and due in Port Elizabeth in the near future and ETA in Fremantle on Oct 26th.

hi YeahYeahNahh - I to spoke with my dealer this week also, ordered mine in late May. Advised that it was due to be built this week (41) and should be on a ship early Nov, landing mid Dec. though with the slow down around Xmas I probably won't see it until mid Jan either. If you didn't order yours until July and it's fully loaded then you're definitely ahead of the pack! 👍

From start of build , it normally takes about 9 weeks to landing in Melbourne.

Sounds exactly like what I've been told...

Ordered late-May, advised of December Australian landing, but xmas delays mean we won't see it until Jan 2019...

That too is exactly what my dealer said, although I ordered 5th May, but.... Things can and do change (don't get you hopes up). Not sure why but the car is arriving to Melbourne in 2 weeks, mid Nov handover, 3 mths ahead of schedule...

Don't get too excited about when it arrives in Melbourne. It still takes a while before you get it. Ship arrived in Melbourne on 21 Sept and compliance plate finally fitted yesterday. Now have to wait for it to be transported to Sydney and for the dealer to do its bit. I've had the you'll have it at the end of next week a couple of times now.

Yeah, 100%.. But, as I said, things do change. My original landing month in Melbourne was Dec and more to the point, the delays over xmas meant an etd of jan/feb.

3-4 weeks wait for customs clearance and dealer prep etc when landed, as Im in Melbourne..Sucks to have to wait til it gets to nsw.. So, timing about right to what you quoted..

Thanks guys! i checked my paperwork and turns out i ordered it on 23rd of May, I thought July as i wanted a new car around new financial year. Until i started looking and realised i didn't want something off the floor. Mine's not fully loaded, it's a white R-line 162 with DAP (no sunroof) Fingers crossed for January then..

Hi guys,
Do u know if it's possible to get the car debadged prior to taking delivery? My dealer seems to think the logistics company Patricks install the badge as part of PDI.
Just wondering if any of you have made such a request and what the outcome was.
