  • Nice!

Did you pick up the TTE475 that was going cheap from up in Qld?

It's a very similar setup to what I'm running (except I don't have the oil cooler/catch can).

Where did you get the pod filter replacement for the R600? was this the MST Performance one or something different?

Brake upgrade and Golf R muffler are on my list also once tuning is completed.

    • Do it once, do it right hey?

I was watching it, but someone else nabbed it.

I'll admit you, INASNT, and Melbourne_Tiggy have helped form my decisions, lol.

The turbo is the first purchase. The rest I'll start ordering soon.
The pod filter is the MST one, I mentioned it several posts ago, not longer after you got the R600 intake I think?

Good luck with the tune, I'm looking forward to the final result.

Considering a turbo blanket but the jury is still out on the overall benefits.

Also keen to do the Golf R Muffler swap for the looks and sound.

Brakes are also a consideration but I'll look into that more after all this lot is done.
        Nice....

I am still in 2 minds as to turbo upgrade.. ATM I only drive the Tig to work and back during the week, weekends mainly use our other car.. I want a old classic as my sunday car, 65 Mustang, 69 Camaro SS or similiar...

Beedub congrats! That’s some serious hardware upgrades you are doing. You probably need your own build thread. I’ll update the front page stats when you start your install.....

                • Posting here also for future reference. Initial round of road tuning complete with the TTE475 hybrid IS38.

Running a low boost (~23psi) file on Caltex 98.

I’ll stick it on the dyno soon with a boost tap and get a tune with a higher boost file and possibly “proper” 98 (BP Ultimate).

Also had the DSG tune done at the same time and it's properly nice to drive around now - no laggy throttle in D off the line and S mode isn't stupid with holding revs.

Also with the non-res DP I'm getting some nice pops out the back on WOT.

The Revo hybrid IS38 R is a beast, 11.2 for the quarter on street trim is quick. Took out lots of “performance” cars, note I read a lot of the comments that some of the cars didn’t use launch control.

                    • APR IS38 software update

Just flashed from v1.2 software to the new beta v2 IS38 software for the Tiguan. Low down is much more response, no turbo lag like a tuned IS20. Top end HP across the rev range has increased, although peak torque is lower, the band is wider. When it’s dry I’ll vbox it.........

The only owner who new how to drive / stage / drag race was the M5 owner, the others didnt use launch control, waited for the lights to go green and then went. Money does not buy skill.

Interesting to find out if this improves the 0-100. I'm guessing that everyday drive-ability will be better which is a plus.

Nice one! Are you collecting the parts first and installing in one go?

                              • Yep, the Eibach springs arrived today but I couldn't pick them up so I'll have those tomorrow.

Racingline stuff is on order so should arrive within 2 weeks.

Turbo had a 6 week wait, so that won't be until July 1 before it's even shipped I believe.

Found out there is a shortage locally of CTS downpipes so I'm ordering my own now.
