MY18.5 or MY19 - Difference ? Should I Wait ?

I spoke to another dealer today and they won't give any MY19 prices. Not even an indicative price.

What they say is they are happy to place an order for an MY19 and reserve the delivery date, take your deposit and when they know the price, if I don't like the price I can cancel the order and get my deposit back.

is this for the SWB or Allspace?

did the dealer confirm the Sound and Vision pack was a new option on the SWB? I dont think we've had confirmation of this yet? people are jst assuming based on the Allspace spec sheet i think..?

Does not sound right as the new sales car contracts have clauses that do not allow a buyer to cancel without a penalty.

Seems like VW have been dodgy about all this so as to not stop sales of existing MY18.5 Tiguans.

That's probably reasonable, but it's not often a good idea to give a deposit before you negotiate the price - I would probably just wait. You can't really blame them for not releasing the MY19 specs and prices now because they will instantly devalue existing 18.5 stock and others already on the way.

My dealer tells me that my June build will be MY18.5. That's good and bad - good because I will get exactly what I ordered and I don't have to worry about missing out on Active Info Display, but bad because I will likely miss out on all the other MY19 goodies made standard.

Totally depends on the Highline model you ordered. If it was a baseline model, I would be a little upset but if you ordered fully loaded, you are only really missing out on electric pax seat and the ability to add dynaudio thru changed option pack. Personally I reckon the fully loaded MY19 will be at least $1000 to $1500 dearer because of the changed options inc. dynaudio.

Dealer confirmed Sound and Vision pack for the MY19 and said it was estimated to be $2K for the Sound and Vision Pack

It depends if you think the extra electrix passenger seat and the Dynaudio are worth $1000 toegther

Now that you can get electric passenger seat and dynaudio on the MY19, thought I would get a quote from a broker to see if I should change my MY18.5 order to an MY19 order ...
