Works without Discover Care as well Is ver 88

Is it better to get the Skoda version or the VW version direct from the VW website ?

Any of the links above will give you the map It is the same thing on each site but has a slightly different name . Thats all so take your pick

I had no problems running it through DiscoverCare last year but getting checksum error yesterday. 40gb free harddisk space and 32gb sd card formatted as Fat32. The log was showing the following.

Thanks mate. I will try the VW first. Do you know if the VW version is the same date version as the Skoda ?

AS I said they are IDENTICAL absolutely and completely Its the version number that matters dont worry about dates It VER 88 on both

Just download the file from the link in thereply above yours . Unzip it using a PC and copy the folder to your SD card Shove it in the car and Voila it works

If so, do you have the download link or are you supposed to receive the software when you buy the car ?

Discover care used to be on the Portal but seems to have problems ATM so those of us who have used it before, downloaded it and run it from the PC as would be normal I would think

A lot of fluffing around about all of this Just use the direct links to the actual file and do as I said in my last reply. I rarely bother using it as its often faster the other way

You posted the link yourself so what happens when you use it.

How does the version numbering work ? What does the P88 stand for ?

Does the P88 correspond to a Year / Quarter version in any way ?

Looking at the extracted DIR, the file timestamps are for the Aus Map Files under Mib1 / NavDB are dated 12/2019

Looks like the package was generated 01/2020

I dont know nor worry about that

Look at your screen it was 85

You worry too much, be thankful they are still free

If you have a PRO it uses whichever file it needs depending on the model I guess
