Mattlock, yea def, I think they have the extra module to expand the jb1 to a jb4, but don't quote me on it.

George from BM is pretty active on VWVortex, rev 1 and 2 JB4 upgrade were released at the same time just before Chrissy. Once it was announced RHD rev 2 sold out in 15 minutes. But yep, more to be released in Jan.

I just wanted to check the benefits of upgrading to the wireless controller,
Is there anything extra it does over the cable apart from allowing phone access?

Remember with the BT dongle you can then use the app via mirrorlink to have active gauges on screen. Can also map switch etc from in car and when driving if you really want.

Does the app/mirror link show the jb4 values or the obd2 values, as the obd2 are wrong as the jb4 sends normal readings to ecu....

Its using the JB4 app reading direct from unit so you can show actual (jb4) boost. With Jb4 you will be able to show afr etc as well. (Am using jb1 now, my jb4 should be delivered tomorrow)

Im using mirrorlink and have enabled video in motion via obd11. Its then easy to get to the app.
