Anyone wanting to offload their JB1? I had it in my Polo, well worth it and the cable is a must.

So I've had my JB1 in for a few months and I've noticed when in high rev range when I accelerating hard, the revs are all over the place. Meaning the needle starts to bounce past ~4-5K instead of a smooth continuous rise, if that makes sense?

Has anyone else experience this and is this normal?

Is there anything extra it does over the cable apart from allowing phone access?


Do you need a laptop to use the cable or can it work with a tablet as well?

No extra benefits, the phone app does however have some nice gauges and a simple user interface.

Yeah it appears that the only benefit is the wireless connection
I suppose it depends how much you want to muck around with it?
Logging could be another benefit - I'm assuming that to get any sort of logs you would need to drive with the laptop connected?
My laptop rarely ever leaves the house so having an easy to use device at anytime could be a bonus
I think you need to pay for the app as well - not sure what costs are associated with that
