Haha I'm glad that you have both your badges anyway, I just can't believe that I didn't spot it myself before. I'm not sure, there is no sign of any adhesive left behind so I'm thinking that it was not fitted in the factory, not a very German thing to do. I'm going to the dealer today to see what happened. I phoned them on Saturday about it and the guy was making out that it was there when I picked it up, as he checked it personally before delivery, but luckily I have a picture taken on the day, of me next to the car on the drivers side and no badge is visible.

Jeez. This is going to be the first thing I check when I take delivery of mine!

Right so I now have two GTI side badges. I went to the dealer today and they stuck one on for me.

Sorry Vagabond no knob today, no time for photos had to much fun breaking her in, did just on 300ks today, and I couldn't be happier. It's been a long time since I've driven a performance FWD but what the VW engineers have done with this car is incredible, there is just sooo much grip and power on tap. Loving it.
