Yeah but not for the gti sadly😩. Just hoping it is the same led tail lights on the gti just without the dynamic indicators. Can live with that if that's the case.

Fingers crossed for the GTI. I think the GTI will have the following taillights though. They are apparently LED, but not the premium ones you see with the dynamic turn signals. To be honest though, i dont mind the look of them. They are a step up from the mk7 but not as cool as the new dynamic ones.
My impression is the tail lights are a dealer fit option so should be able to be fitted to every model!
If you stump up with the cash that is
The subwoofer is not the biggest but for 2.3 k you get the 400w 8 speaker system, digital dash and 9.2 inch discover pro that's pretty hard value to knock back

What so the sweeping rear LED indicators aren't standard on the GTI? Let down if true.
Although, the good news may be that they may be fitted to earlier MK7s & if the dealers are doing it, even more encouraging.
Will see if that's the case. From what I understand, it is LED. But might not be premium LED as @Kaching said. Will def. go for the premium LED if they let me upgrade. Fingers crossed.

Forgive me if this has been posted already but does anyone know when the mk8 will be released?
I'm liking the mk7.5 and want to upgrade my my mk7 GTI to the R but if the mk8 will be realeased in a year or so then I might just wait, or is the 7.5 going to be another 3 year cycle?
Cheers

From all i have read would not expect mark 8 till end 2019 or early 2020
7.5 is stopgap cause of dieselgate

Confirmed on other sources speaking to VW Australia it won't be the same clutch. Only GTI Performance and R models have torque over 350nm? to warrant the wet clutch (VW savin' money again)
The GTI has always had a wet clutch DSG (the 6-speed DQ250), and will continue to do so. The DQ200 7-speed dry-clutch unit in lower-spec Golfs can't handle anything like the 350Nm of the GTI.
The 7 speed dry is at 250nm
And will be fitted to all 1.4ltr petrol 110kw/250nm golfs
The 6 speed wet at 350nm (will handle 400nm) will continue to be used in the gti
The 7 speed wet dq380 will be used as the high torque model in the 110kw/340nm diesel golf highline,135kw/380nm diesel alltrack and 213kw/380nm golf r petrol
Its rated at 380nm (420nm max) i have been told thats its a combination of dq250 and dq 500 dsg boxes and vry robust (the tuner i am using said its clutch packs were huge) its currently in use in audi s3 models with no issues and should be able to handle even more than the max 420nm
