To clarify, I'm waiting on the build date and specific VIN allocation for my car. Seems like all dealers know what colours and how many Wolfsburgs they're getting by now but I don't think anyone ordering a Wolfsburg has actually got a specific VIN/build just yet (someone prove me wrong!). Until they actually give us that, ETAs are just speculation/best guesses.

I ordered a Wolfsburg wagon 19 June 2017, and was given a VIN for "my" wagon on 27 June, with an "estimated arrival" in Oz of 17 August.

On 6 July I was informed that I was "one lucky bastard" and that my wagon should be landing in Oz on the 17th August while most other Wolfsburgs wouldn't be delivered until December (due to supply problems getting enough active display units).

On 28 July I was told it had been built and was on its way to the docks for loading onto a ship.

As of today (1 Aug ) it still hasn't shown up on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics tracking site, but the VW system was still saying that it was expected to arrive by the end of August, which left both my salesperson and me a bit confused ( I think it usually takes longer than 30 days for shipment to Oz by sea). I guess it will be here sometime ?

That's awesome! You are one "lucky bastard" indeed, anyone else ordered a Wolfie confirmed a late August date? Really labouring to wait until Aug 8 to find out, let alone potentially December or even onwards.

If you got the VIN June 27 I suspect your wagon is on the same boat Aug 17 delivery sounds OK but where's the VIN?

Just curious. Ordered Wolfy Hatch 1st week in July and have no news about build or shipping. Did you get the shipping info from the dealer or from VW Oz?

I put an order in yesterday for a blue Wolfsburg no roof. Was told they need to enter the order in their system and then dealer will let me know in the next few weeks when it will be built and approx arrive date. Was told more than like Dec delivery.

The most logical explanation is that my wagon has not been loaded onto a ship yet, and that is why it's not showing up on the ship tracking system. I'm pretty sure I have the correct VIN as my salesman sent me a screenshot with the VIN on it.
