Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yeah they look good in silver too. I just like black wheels (even well before they became trendy). I remember painting the wheels black on my Silvia in about 2004 and most people hated them. Now everyone is doing it. That was when big ugly chrome wheels were popular

Yeah, the black ones are good but the 2-tone stock ones look awesome on my white car.

        Some wheels work, others don't.

        Matt black Cadiz aren't bad.

Chrome should be reserved for pumped up black SUVs or Limos chasing the gangster look.

Since I live in SWEDEN my VW dealer can not see VW part #'s on parts that are specificly for Australia

I'm looking for the part # of the WOLFSBURG badge on the rear end of the VW Golf R Wolfsburg Edition
          Try here

I want the VW Genuine Wolfsburg badge.

Can any of you Australians please call a VW dealer and ask for the part number ?
                I'd be very grateful.

You will need someone with a Mk7 R to call the spare parts dept and quote their VIN number.

                    Why ?

Anyone can call and ask for a part # from the VW dealer without VIN number and so on.

Perhaps you can in Sweden - but in Australia you either need the part # (which we dont know) or the cars VIN in order to get parts.

Sounds very strange for us in Europe.

Sounds equally strange for us here in Aus too but that is the way dealers roll here. Frustrating if you want something from a car variant that you don't own!!

Hooked up the JB1 today to the wagon, great addition. Really transforms it.

Did you alter the map or just run the standard Map 1 Daniel? My unit arrives this coming week I hope so looking forward to doing likewise.

Last minute decision on the cable purchase means I have been doing lots of "how to" tutorials on what to do and how to do it. Thinking plus 5 is the gofrom what i am reading...

Saw another Wolfie wagon not far from where I live today. Very good loking wagon!!

Just left it on map 1.

Will visit other mappings if I do any other mods to the engine.
