Hi. I'm Will from Adelaide. I picked up my Wolfie sans sun roof in March from Melbourne with 14kms on the dial and drove it back to Adelaide. I got one without the key less entry/start. I was told two conflicting stories about why. First was that it was one of the first 10 that arrived in Australia for journo testing. This one obviously not getting taken out for some reason. First being that it was one of the first 10 to arrive in Australia and the second was that they were so popular in Australia, that this might have been one that was shipped from Japan to meet supply demands. I'm not sure which one it is, but I am not overly fussed about the whole peasant key thing.
I don't get much time to drive it, but I love that it is the first thing I see in the morning as I go to work and the first thing I see when I get home from work. It's just ticked over 2000kms. Managed to talk a mate of mine into buying a VW as well. A few mods have already begun, with September being the most expensive so far apart from the purchase of it.

Picture in front of the yellow building is of mate and my car's after he just picked it up brand new from the dealer and we went on a hills run.

My mate quoted these prices, but still he needs to confirm, but you can pre-order subject to price.
He also told me last time they all pre-sold before landing in the country.

Was probably one of the only cars in recent times that I had saw that went up in value (Noting this was 2015 right after the big scandal),- will be interesting to see how much of an opportunity VW took from this to increase it's profits. Are they also doing Wolf Hatch models?


Also will be interesting to see how much of a dive current model R wagons take a hit.

The previous run of Wolfie Wagons sold for around $67-68k. I think the hatch was around $63-64k? So this price seems about the same.

Price still to be confirmed, but that's what the dealer principle told him .
Also he told me will most likely be released Jan-Feb. He will give me prices and allocations when he gets them.

I could/would be, but couldn't stomach the seats in the last one (fake carbon fibre imitation plastic was awful). I had a deal and great c/o numbers on a fully optioned final one but walked away from it. Dealbreaker.

Will be curious to know if they have managed something more tasteful this time.

For what ever reason when they first came out I thought they were around $57k - The dollar was also much better then. I know there was price rise of $1.5k when the dollar dropped.

I'm pretty sure most people paid around the $67k mark for the Wagon. I was looking quite hard for a good deal on a wagon and read many other people's posts on the forum, rang quite a few dealer etc. I'd be very surprise anyone got one for $57k as that's a pretty good price for a fully optioned regular Golf R hatch. Add a few grand for the special addition and another few grand for the wagon results in around $67k.

Sorry, but I think you've got your info mixed up as I mentioned the car went up in value. Dealers were later on selling them for $67k~ (Demo stock ect).
