Agreed, and not badly priced for a set of OEM wheels in 19".

Hoping that VWA decide to bring it, as unlikely as it seems - I've got my eye on the S3 next time but this would tempt me to stick with VW.

��I didn't get on with the s3 I ordered and ended up cancelling after I'd driven the R,nice looking dash but IMO although it's almost identical parts wise it was just set up to understeer like a badly setup fwd car.

I'll put my hand up and say I haven't driven one yet so cannot comment - and obviously would do so prior to committing to anything (ignoring the fact I never test drove a Mk7 before picking mine up). I'm not sure how they're priced in the UK but here the S3 makes a compelling case given the price difference/specifications and market position of Audi, plus I love the look of the sedan.

Having said all that if the budget suits at the time I'll be looking at the other Germans, or save my pennies and go for something like the Octavia. In any case that decision is some time off as I've banned myself from swapping any time soon.

Not sure if these are both the same car with and without the grill.

I'd say so, given Capistrano is by the beach in LA and that sunset looks very California Dreaming. Nice find.

Not a fan of ABT kits, or most kits in general, but that grille treatment isn't too bad.

Yeah they are both from the same dealer I know that much, just wasn't sure if the same exact car.

I agree that the Abt kit isn't the greatest, but I also really like the understated look they did with the grill and wheels.

This ABT Golf R actually works well, I'm not the biggest fan of the wheels but this particular package certainly adds aggression to the car; it's amazing what changing the exhaust tips will do for the rear look of the car as well:
