Totally agree!

Black cars or wheels are a pain to keep clean but I've found that VW's metallic paint really shines when cleaned. The black stain finish of the OZ Ultraleggera wheels however are a pain to maintain sadly. They attract dirt very easily.

Don't get me wrong, black cars easily look the best when they are clean and looked after. My old car always turned some heads when it was well cleaned.

We all love black cars whether an R or an HSV. I've had a couple over the years and I enjoyed maintaining them in my erm younger years but now with work, moving, and Junior Dubber I just don't have time to - AdamD, no comments on 'Panther black' please.

Instead I just sit back and drool over Josh's ride in these pics. Or perhaps live if I get down to Melbourne.

Josh, I had my Superturismo LMs and now the Leggera HLTs opticoated which made cleaning a breeze - they still get brake dust, but now a quick sponge off and as good as new. I'd recommend having a look at something like that.

Not strictly a wheel thing, although you'd want an aggressive set of wheels to pull the look off, but came across this R400 styling kit.. quality unknown but clocks in at around $3.9k USD landed with taxes:

I assume that would be do-able, the parts picture implies new front and rear bars and I assume all Mk7 Golfs run the same main body panels. It would certainly be an interesting look, although pushes the car away from its clean Euro lines to something a little more ricer like.

The mob doing this may provide another source for those looking for the central exhaust valance though.

We've checked this vehicle out a few times, but here are a few new angles:









These are the Neuspeed RSe10s in 19 x 8, ET45 and H&R Springs.

The rear view also shows a wiper delete, badge dip, tinted tails and some Magnaflow tips to add some more aggression. FWIW, this guy also did a muffler delete but retained the resonator and was pretty happy with the results.
