I totally agree with you! The full GTI interior looks great and since I completed it I started to think if something happens to the engine or gearbox I may start an even bigger project. I'm thinking of buying a wrecked GTI (just need the front end in a good condition) and move the powertrain (and other bits if needed) to the wagon to make it full GTI. I already have a friend that when I mentioned to he agreed straight away to help!
I saw something similar done in golfmk7 website and it made me want to do it even more. It would be awesome if it materialises.
Let's see what the future holds...
Golf Wagon MK7 (90 92TSI) - Mods: DQ250 swap (Stage 2), 110TSI turbo upgrade (Stage 2), Bilstein B12, 19" Pretoria, GTI PP sway bar upgrades (front/rear), full GTI tartan interior, GTI color cluster, R Bi-Xenon headlights with AFS retrofit, GTI brake upgrade.
More to come...

Anyone running 19x8.5 +45 and 245/35r19 on their 7.5s? Most aftermarket rims seem to be +45 and 8.5" wide (versus +50 and 8" standard)...Wondering if the extra 12mm offset will cause an issue at standard ride height.Last edited by bigfoot; 18-04-2023, 01:49 PM.MY18 Golf 7.5R - Ecotune Stage 1

TSW Bathurst (rotary forged) 19x8.5 ET43
After flat spotting my OEM Pretoria's for the second time I decided it was time for aftermarket wheels. Took a long time to find a set I liked, were lighter than stock (forged Pretoria's are quite light!), and of course with great fitment.
Finally settled on the seemingly rare TSW Bathurst rotary forged wheels.
Spec:
TSW Bathurst 19x8.5 ET43 (gunmetal)
Bridgestone Potenza RE003 235/35R19
Riding on OEM suspension, but I'm currently looking at getting springs (likely Eibach Pro wagon specific springs).
Front wheel view from top - may go an ever so slightly wider tyre next time, as these OEM sized tyres stretch slightly on these wheels, unlike the "same sized" OEM Pretoria's:
Rear wheel view from top:
Fully loaded for a camping trip, no scrub!! Fitment is PERFECT! (wagon lyfe!)
Any questions just shoot.👍
Cheers,

Thanks. I was kind of going for the "OEM-Plus" look. The wheels came in silver too which would have looked bigger and much more flashy on the car (especially my colour), but I like the gunmetal being a bit more subtle and being a nod back to the black OEM Pretoria wheels.
I actually just bought some Eibach Pro springs so might have to update with fresh photos when I get them installed. 👍MY16 Golf R Wagon Wolfsburg Edition

I'll join in on the new wheels and roof box thread. the hatch is such a practical car so the wagon must be immense, looks good...

Yes they are chunky. Looks like you need some low dust ceramic brake pads to help keep those wheels looking clean. I had the ATE Ceramic pads on my GTI and they good, but I now have the Brembo ceramic pads on my new car and they are honestly just as good and cost about 1/2 the price of the ATE's.
