Part two has been completed. The TMD was a pain, as expected, but doable. The BOV was easy and the rest of the intake install was straight forward, along with the ESC dual intake duct at the front.
Well, it was easy enough once I snipped some of the MST box. It no longer lined up now...

Part one of the upgrades is done. A local shop has installed the intercooler, radiator, downpipe and the dogbone mount. On the way to their shop I got an alert that my left rear tyre was low. Hi Don, yes, this is a LA to DLA upgrade, which also comes with dual DRL's, sourced from cars that had this function as sold in Australia. I could get lights from Europe fundamentally, as long as they were for RHD vehicles. Probably easier to get LHD ones. So much to think about !

I'm friends with Darkshadow and we've been talking about doing the LA to DLA headlight upgrade on my GTI, similar to what he accheived with his Superb.
I'm wondering, if I can get hold of the file, can ODIS be used to upload as well as VCP?

Yes Lucas, this is what happened. They annoyingly no longer allowed the DLA headlights to be available so it was only certain early cars that got them. It has led to countless threads and posts about activating the "other" DRL. Looking at it, it looks just like the one that lights up, only...Leave a comment:

No worries, it's not too long now, a week till install of most of the hardware, the hard stuff, then I'll do the easy stuff, and then a tune two weeks from now.
